My trade log is a supremely valuable tool. Normal traders benefit greatly from using it. I'm special, however, and I don't need to record my performance data nor my remarks because I know I'll get lucky and make a big score one of these days.

By interpreting my day trading behavior through the lens my trade log, I'm able to reinforce the parts of my process are effective, and condition myself not to engage in those behavior I discover that are ineffective.

If I thought I had any behavior patterns that needed studying, I'd go hire a psychiatrist to check my brain. Only licensed medical professionals can alter a human being's behavior.

When I win a trade I feel good, and when I lose a trade I feel bad. It doesn't bother me at all that winning and losing are the same terms gamblers use. I've just got to keep putting pressure on myself until I perform better. I'm sure i'll figure it out in my head soon, so I don't need a trade log.

I can't avoid all the bad ones, because I'm cursed and the market always turns against me as soon as I get into a trade.

I can avoid the bad ones if I trade options on Chinese manufacturing stocks only. I've never lost on one of them before, so how could they betray me now?

Nobody can avoid all the bad ones, but what helps me greatly limit them includes adopting a mindset of continuous improvement through adaptaion, as well as using advanced tools and executing a process I've drilled until I'm consistently successful.

Avoiding the bad trades is simple. If I turn on my software, let time go by, and never click the buy button, I never trade and therefore cannot have any bad ones. It's science. I can't get any good trades with this approach, either, but hey - science has its drawbacks, too.
